摘要: Evidence is accumulating indicating the importance of antioxidant enzyme activity measurements in eco-toxicological studies, as they may constitute markers for exposure to a large variety pollutants. Variation enzymes, superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione S-transferases (GST) effect heavy metals selenium on these enzymes were investigated livers Iberian endemic minnows (Leuciscus alburnoides complex) captured copper (Cu) mining area. Higher hepatic levels always observed fish at polluted site relative reference area population, reflecting environmental monitoring results. A seasonal fluctuation zinc both populations was also which could be related gonad maturation. The SOD did not show significant regional alterations, but variation occurred presumably associated with Leuciscus life cycle. GST higher population from (except spring) variability when regions compared. increased probably metabolic adaptation continuous those elements.
