摘要: Experiments were conducted to assess the influences of granivores on seed bank in sagebrush-steppe. Rodent and/or ant exclosures established at two distances from five harvester mounds. Monthly soil samples collected exclosures, and open access areas ascertain changes bank. Seed dish experiments monthly establish a maximum removal rate. Rodents trapped monthly. More seeds recovered rodent than exclosures. banks changed temporally spatially, with more September 6 m removed rapidly dishes did ants. Ants closest nests. may have larger impact local Ant activities, other consumption, influence vegetation.
