摘要: The prostate is an exocrine gland in the male reproductive tract that secretes seminal fluids. To gain insight into cytochemical properties of prostatic epithelial cells, characteristics glycoconjugates mouse sections were examined by lectin histochemistry and immunohistochemistry. Characteristic staining patterns observed, depending on type lectins present epithelia. Luminal cells reacted specifically with mannose-binding (Galanthus nivalis lectin, Hippeastrum hybrid Narcissus pseudonarcissus lectin) Maclura pomifera all lobes prostate. also expressed galactose, N-acetyl-D-galactosamine (GalNAc), N-acetyl-D-glucosamine (GlcNAc), fucose residues lateral ventral lobes. Basal GlcNAc fucose, Datura stramonium Aleuria aurantia These results indicate prostate, selectivity lectin-binding sites for distinct cell types lobe-dependent may relate to cellular regional differences function. Furthermore, some selectively bound indicating their potential use as markers histopathological evaluation diseases, cancer diagnosis, or infertility.
