Distributed Effects in a Pair of Parallel Guides Coupled Via a Chiral Medium and Their Possible Applications

摘要: Propagation of the electromagnetic wave in a symmetrical structure two identical parallel guides coupled via chiral medium is investigated using mode method. It found that chirality causes periodic transfer energy between guides. Possible applications effects observed to construction depolarizers, polarimeters, diplexers, frequency meters, frequency/amplitude converters, sensors, switches, and modulators discussed.
