摘要: Sheets of groundwater calcrete in the stratigraphic sequences beach/dune units deposited interval mid Holocene-present, record a history variable Holocene climate. Studies coastal-plain areas Perth Basin spanning gradient climate from humid to semi-arid show that today is clearly forming as sheet just above water table zone capillary rise environments, thin, isolated lenses under distinct outliers vegetation zones subhumid and not at all zones. However, such sheets are widespread earlier levels where former positions can be inferred various localities. Evidently, apart small lenses, did develop most localities Holocene. The very sealevel history, corollary, coastal plain enable reconstruction because each level should have if it was developed. evidence shows late period relatively more arid conditions an extension climates only past 2800 14C yrs.
