摘要: Atmospheric acidic deposition has been a major environmental problem since the industrial revolution. However, our understanding of effect on soil pH is inconclusive. Here we examined temporal variations in topsoil and their relationships with atmospheric sulfur nitrogen across China's forests from 1980s to 2000s. To accomplish this goal, conducted artificial neural network simulations using historical inventory data set synthesized literature published after 2000. Our results indicated that significant decreases occurred broadleaved forests, while minor changes were observed coniferous mixed forests. The magnitude change was negatively correlated deposition. This relationship highlights need for stringent measures reduce emissions so as maintain ecosystem structure function.
