摘要: Introduction Anatomical properties between proximal and other regions within the human rectus femoris (RF) muscle are nonuniform. We aimed to clarify possible region-specific myoelectric manifestations of fatigue RF by using an advanced surface electromyography (SEMG) technique. Methods Nine healthy men performed sustained contractions at 50% maximal voluntary contraction until exhaustion during isometric knee extension hip flexion. During these contractions, multi-channel SEMG was recorded from 46 electrode pairs which cover most superficial area muscle. Results Fatigue-induced SEMG, i.e., increase in root mean square a decrease median frequency, not uniform both tasks greater regions. Conclusions Our findings suggest that localized, more fatigable than this muscle. Muscle Nerve, 48: 226–234, 2013
