摘要: Coffee is widely grown across Central America at altitudes between 600 and 2500 m, mostly in association with trees that provide shade other services. Research on coffee agroforestry systems has identified many environmental factors, management strategies plant characteristics affect growth, yield impact of the system. Much this literature only presents qualitative estimates importance different growth determining or highly site-specific estimates. Quantitative information required to allow statistical analysis construction process-based models Here, we review available quantitative for latter purpose, emphasis data needs modelling common America. Process-based require data—weather, soil—and physiological plants trees. Our showed current insufficient full parameterisation a model any coffee-tree combination. Information weather, limited, but soil seems more adequate. A regional network replicated multi-factorial experiments, focusing interactive effects may help address main knowledge gaps.
