摘要: The purpose of this review is to understand the epidemiology, clinical features, etiopathogenesis, and management atrioesophageal fistula (AEF) after atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation. incidence AEF AF ablation 0.015%-0.04%. principal features include fever, dysphagia, upper gastrointestinal bleeding, sepsis, embolic strokes. close proximity esophagus posterior left wall responsible for esophageal injury during Prophylactic proton pump inhibitors, temperature monitoring, visualization catheter ablation, protection devices, avoidance energy delivery in play an important role preventing injury. Early surgical repair or stenting are mainstay treatment. Eliminating utmost importance AEF. A high index suspicion early intervention necessary prevent fatal outcomes.
