摘要: Telehealth may be an important care delivery modality in reducing dropout from bariatric surgery programs which is reported globally at approximately 50%. In this convergent mixed methods case study of a large, US healthcare system, we examine the impact telehealth implementation 2020 on pre-operative visits and provider perspectives use. We find that was significantly associated with 38% reduction no-show rate compared prior year. Additionally, providers had positive experiences regard to appropriateness feasibility using process. use process lead greater efficiency resource utilization. Insurance accreditation bodies should consider accepting self-reported weights when determining coverage decisions ensure access for patients.
