摘要: BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: Currently available data on pituitary volume have been based indirect methods of measurement and are mostly limited to adult populations. The purpose this study was determine the normal development by means direct measurements made thin-section 3D MR acquisitions. METHODS: gland in children adolescents measured using sequences with a section thickness 0.6 0.75 mm. clinical group consisted 199 pediatric patients clinically function no abnormal findings routine studies. posterior also all subjects. RESULTS: A phantom revealed errors within 25%. In study, volumes showed growth spurt during puberty, which more prominent girls. Posterior gradual without such spurt. Among 5- 9-year-olds, were significantly larger for boys than CONCLUSION: Normal determined volumetry. With technique, we found gender difference pituitary.
