摘要: Analysis of protein mutants is an effective means to understand their function. Protein display approach that allows large numbers a be selected based on activity, but only handful with maximal activity have been traditionally identified for subsequent functional analysis. However, the recent application high-throughput sequencing (HTS) and selection has enabled simultaneous assessment function of hundreds thousands span range from high low. Such deep mutational scanning approaches are rapid inexpensive potential broad utility. In this review, we discuss emergence scanning, challenges associated its use some exciting applications.
