摘要: A planar interface between immiscible phases in a symmetric polymer blend is studied self-consistent field theory for completely flexible (Gaussian) and semiflexible (wormlike) chains. Concentration density profiles, chain end distributions, interfacial tensions, the orientational order of whole chains single monomers are calculated. The results compared with data from Monte Carlo simulations. qualitative agreement overall very good. Quantitatively, succeeds predicting correct profile widths only limit extremely long lengths, small values Flory-Huggins parameter χ.
