摘要: We describe Scytalopus stilesi, an overlooked species of tapaculo endemic to Colombia, on the basis a series eight specimens taken in 2002 and comparative analyses its vocalizations, mitochondrial DNA sequences, dis- tribution. The new ranges northern half Cordillera Central Colombian Andes Departments Antioquia, Caldas, Risaralda, cloud forests between 1,420 2,130 m above sea level. song, calls, female song differ distinctly from those all other known taxa.
