摘要: Abstract Commercial infrared heaters have been proposed to be used in the HELOKA facility under construction at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) test a mock-up first wall (FW), called thermo-cycle (TCM) plate, stress loading comparable those experienced by blanket modules (TBMs) ITER. Two related issues are analyzed this paper, relation ongoing European project aimed design two EU TBMs: (1) possibility reproduce, means heaters, high heat flux conditions on TCM plate similar expected ITER TBMs, and (2) thermo-mechanical analysis itself, order define suitable choice experimental parameters mechanical constraints leading relevant condition. A heater model is developed validated against data from an ad-hoc campaign. study presented, showing that structure able withstand thermal loads, even most constrained case, reaching levels TBM.
