摘要: Abstract Property variability in conjunction with morphological are important sources of uncertainty composite modeling. While image processing experimental microstructures has enabled accurate quantification variability, the characterization material is not as well established. In this study, local properties epoxy extracted from a prepreg sheet was determined using nanoindentation spherical indenter tip radius 50 μm. Indentations were carried out at four different indentation depths to evaluate change modulus sampling volume. For each length scale studied, 40 indentations determine modulus. A significant decrease observed coefficient variation depth increased. The corresponding distributions quantified. results suggest that, similar length-scale dependent and appropriate associated selected must be considered for stochastic modeling structures.
