摘要: Accumulating evidence suggests that the lateral nucleus of amygdala (LA) stores associative memory in form enhanced neural response to sensory input following classical fear conditioning which conditioned stimulus (CS) and unconditioned (US) are presented a temporally continuous manner. However, little is known about role LA trace where CS US separated by temporal gap. Single-unit recordings neurons before after revealed short-latency activity offset, but not onset, increased significantly accompanied response. The was evident two aspects: number offset-responsive latency neuronal offset shortened. On contrary, changes firing rate either onset or were negligible unpaired presentations US. In sum, our results suggest synaptic efficacy pathway might underlie association between distant stimuli conditioning.
