摘要: Measuring levels and patterns of illicit drug use, their correlates, related behaviors requires the use self-report methods. However, validity self-reported data on sensitive highly stigmatized such as has been questioned. The goal this monograph is to review current cutting-edge research describe methodological advances designed reduce total error in estimates quantify sources nonsampling error. This reviews a number studies that some presumably more accurate measure validate use. In addition, evolving methods improve wide variety procedures used survey designs are explored, including computer-assisted interviewing, predictors response propensity, measurement models, improved prevalence estimation techniques. Experimental manipulations various conditions situational factors also show promise improving surveys.
