摘要: We propose the concept of content-based image retrieval (CBIR) and demonstrate its potential use in picture archival communication system (PACS). address importance PACS highlight drawbacks existing traditional textual-based retrieval. a digital mammogram database as our testing data to illustrate idea CBIR, where is carried out based on object shape, size, brightness histogram. With user-supplied query image, can find images with similar characteristics from archive, return them along corresponding ancillary data, which may provide valuable reference for radiologists new case study. Furthermore, CBIR perform like consultant emergencies when are not available. also show that more natural approach man-machine communication.
