摘要: Worldwide, the study of fold and thrust belts characterization structures are mainly carried out through superficial geological observations seismic reflection, as main geophysical prospecting method. In this we show how resistivity method is a useful tool for identification shallow structures (upper 80 m) when combined with knowledge local geology. This relative low cost easily applicable method, which can contribute to image both lithological boundaries and subsurface structures. The Andes Fueguinos in area Beagle Channel characterized by sequence NNE-verging thrusts stacks basement emplaced during middle Cretaceous-Tertiary Andean orogenesis, combined strong left lateral strike-slip component. An electric survey obtain 2D electric resistive tomography (ERT) was carried out northern shore Channel, west of Ushuaia, order better understand geometric relationships between cover units part belt. employed, integrated field survey, allowed differentiate electrical signatures different thin sheets belt, where major faults recognized decrease values sharp variations. Furthermore, the resistivity section shows good spatial correspondence area, where the continuity tectonic boundary (Lapataia Formation) synrift units (Lemaire could be followed at depth.
