摘要: Mitochondria supply energy for physiological function and they participate in the regulation of other cellular events including apoptosis, calcium homeostasis, production reactive oxygen species. Thus, mitochondria play a critical role cells. However, dysfunction is related to variety pathological processes diseases. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are class small noncoding RNAs about 22 nucleotides long, can bind 3′-untranslated region (3′-UTR) mRNAs, thereby inhibiting mRNA translation or promoting degradation. We summarize molecular mitochondrial metabolism, structure, by miRNAs. Modulation miRNAs levels may provide new therapeutic approach treatment mitochondria-related J. Cell.
