摘要: Agrobacterium rhizogenes mediated “hairy root cultures” of the renowned bio-sweetener producing plant—Stevia rebaudiana, were generated to explore their yet undetected biosynthetic potentials concerning low calorie diterpene glycoside—stevioside. Four stable rhizoclones studied under light and dark conditions showing better growth dark. Two these revealed substantially higher photosynthetic pigment accumulation light. Evidently, capitalization on available inter-clonal variability first time showed stevioside synthesizing exclusivity in SRA4 rhizoclone condition, while rest failed. The dualities glycoside power amongst two photosynthetically active resolved through quantitative RT-PCR analysis UGT85C2 gene positive expression rhizoclone. These findings elucidated decisive role combination with proficiency hairy cultures regulating pathway S. rebaudiana.
