摘要: Defined as the smallest RNA containing animal viruses, Picornaviruses (an acronym derived from Polio, Insensitive to ether, Coxsackie, Orphan, Rhino, genome, that also stands for pico = small, ref. l) include etiological agents of a large number human and diseases such hepatitis A, poliomyelitis, common cold, foot-and-mouth disease (FAMD) cloven-foot animals, encephalomyocarditis (EMC), among others.
