摘要: Although laparoscopic splenectomy is the preferred technique for elective removal of normal-sized and moderately enlarged spleens, its value in management massive splenomegaly has not been defined. A 33-year-old woman with was managed by splenectomy. The splenic vessels were embolized preoperatively to reduce operative blood loss. Laparoscopic surgery involved dissection suspensory ligaments at lower pole spleen followed ligation all branches near parenchyma. field explored manually through a 10-cm long Pfannenstiel incision public hairline, under videoscopic control remaining structures safely secured. delivered into pelvis, fragmented removed large pieces. incisions closed after proper irrigation inspection field. Further clinical evaluation required determine if procedure more efficacious than open splenomegaly.
