摘要: SUMMARY A strategy for establishing the specificity and safety of an organism as a biological weed control agent is described. A critical first step to expose its attack small group plants very closely related exhibiting morphological biochemical similarities weed. To prevent erroneous negative result tests are also made on selected cultivated plants, including those weed, which associated insects fungi little known, that have evolved apart from or been exposed agent, attacked by organisms already recorded hosts. The circumstances under might fail indicate discussed, i.e. polyphagous attacking irregularly distributed throughout many families, highly specific two alternate hosts, three phylogenetically widely separated plant groups. The additional crop testing, included in overall deal with such possible failures, discussed. It shown would Sesamum tndicum list challenged bug Teleonemia scrupulosa testing Lantana camara, thereby forewarning was subsequently observed Africa.
