摘要: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) outcomes have not been prospectively described since implementation of the Reassessment Campaign on Veterinary Resuscitation (RECOVER) guidelines. This study aimed to describe CPR and document arrest variables in dogs cats at a U.S. veterinary teaching hospital RECOVER guidelines using 2016 Utstein-style reporting One-hundred seventy-two 47 that experienced cardiopulmonary (CPA) underwent following were included. Supervising clinicians completed data form for events immediately completion from December 2013 June 2018. Seventy-five (44%) 26 (55%) attained return spontaneous circulation (ROSC), 45 (26%) 16 (34%) had ROSC ≥ 20 min, 13 (8%) 10 (21%) alive 24 h after CPR, 12 (7%) 9 (19%) survived discharge. The most common cause death animals with min was euthanasia. Patient significantly different publication except higher feline survival discharge rate. Dogs (p = 0.02) but initial shockable rhythms increased rates while development rhythm during efforts associated 0.30). In closed chest an end-tidal carbon dioxide (EtCO2) value >16.5 mmHg 75% sensitivity 64% specificity achieving ROSC. Since guidelines, practice did clinically change our institution no improvement already high noted. percentage surviving than previously reported reason this is evident these results. Euthanasia remains major confounding factor assessing intermediate long-term cats.
