摘要: This study examined the effectiveness and efficiency of employing a fully automatic algorithm for ranking results Boolean searches an inverted file design document retrieval system. The indicated that with minor modification designs, such as those implemented in Syracuse Information Retrieval Experiment (SIRE), systems could efficiently provide users output lists on which rank order is good indicator its probable relevance to user's information need. found relevant documents were ranked significantly higher than nonrelevant set retrieved response query. By utilizing augmented variable incremental cost was only ten cents per There no increased user effort.
