摘要: The present invention provides methods for producing linear thiopeptides using an amino acid ortho thioanilide compound of formula (III) ##STR1## wherein R 1 is selected from the group consisting hydrogen or C -C 4 branched unbranched alkyl; 2 hydrogen, halo, amino, hydroxy, alkoxy, guanido, amido, acyl, carboxy, cyano, mercapto, nitro, azido, and alkyl optionally substituted by azido; 3 a decarboxylated residue chain comprising at least two residue.
