A foot in the revolving door? Women academics in lower-middle management

摘要: This article looks at a small group of women in Canadian faculties education who hold what I call ‘lower-middle management’ positions and considers whether they are on the ladder to recognized academic leadership or revolving-door situation that will take them back ranks from whence came. These nine associate chairs, deans coordinators. After review selected literature discussion method, analyze aspects participants' entry into position, their experience while doing it (where relevant) exit. For most, were stressful did not attract careers. The universities losing out, too, by preparing, helping mentoring these dedicated hard-working individuals.
