摘要: Cadmium is a global heavy metal pollutant. Marine green algae were used as efficient, low cost and eco-friendly biosorbent for cadmium ions removal from aqueous solutions. Plackett-Burman design was applied to determine the most significant factors maximum solutions using dry Ulva fasciata biomass. The affecting process further optimized by face centered central composite design. results indicated that 4 g of biomass found successfully remove 99.96% solution under conditions 200 mg/L initial concentration at pH 5, 25 °C 60 min contact time with static condition. Dry samples before after biosorption analyzed SEM, EDS FTIR. Furthermore, immobilized in sodium alginate-beads removed 99.98% an 4 h which significantly higher than control alginate beads without incorporation algal (98.19%). proven be cost-effective efficient eliminate metals especially aquatic effluents feasible, reliable eco-friendly.
