摘要: Seasonal variation of suspended mud floc sizes in the Dollard estuary The Netherlands was investigated. Factors like salinity, water temperature and wave height did not seem to have a substantial inlfuence on seasonal fluctuation size. Suspended sediment concentration turbulence mainly affected tidal Biological processes had large impact size variation, caused larger flocs. Especially at end plankton bloom, polymer exudates phytoplankton bacteria may increase stickiness flocs, resulting sizes. Such process observed May 1996. Measurements during this bloom suggest that biologically assisted flocculation does depend absolute quantity biopolymer exudate, but gluing quality polymers. as well biopolymers species composition, physiological state phytoplankton, bacteria.
