摘要: A retrospective review was performed of 13 patients with the diagnosis idiopathic eosinophilic esophagitis (IEE) occurring alone or in conjunction gastroenteritis (IEG) to identify clinical, radiographic, endoscopic, manometric, and therapeutic similarities. All presented esophageal symptoms, predominantly dysphagia. An allergic disorder present 10 (77%) patients, peripheral eosinophilia 12 (92%) patients. Clinical investigation disclosed strictures motility disorders three, ulcerations two, a cervical web one, mucosal ring one as cause symptoms. proximal stricture single most common abnormality demonstrated. IEE should be included differential dysphagia suggested patient an disorder, eosinophilia, concurrent abdominal especially IEG. Prompt is extremely important since treatment steroids produces rapid clinical remission
