摘要: Abstract Thermodynamics considers heat and work as the observables of energy. Then, in a non-equilibrium process, fluxes heat, energy are related. The expressions for flux densities well known; although several conventions have been adopted. density defined from can be very useful describing balance when chosen to emphasize observable quantities. This paper discusses advantages use conduction given by Fourier’s law it. As case study, evaluated elements thermoelectric cooler using both formalism electrochemical formalism. Two components, Thomson Joule, distinguished rate semiconductors. In p-type leg, absorption due effect up 33% electric power dissipated Joule’s is observed. It also concluded that voltage drop proportional electrical consumed TEC its connectors, but not semiconductor legs semiconductor/connector junctions.
