摘要: The literature on higher education tends to assume that changes in institutions promoted a redefinition of boundaries between academic and administrative staff. Academics perceive decrease the control over their own work due increasing presence non-academic managers. new public management managerialism has also been apparent Portugal since end 90’s. Several studies have developed understand impact these changes, but few them concentrate side. aim this paper is examine changing landscape professional binary system like Portuguese one. Our main finding even though non-teaching staff are nowadays recognised as more qualified relevant terms visibility work, traditional roles assigned both teaching still pre-dominant, especially clearly asymmetrical power relations two groups.
