摘要: This paper analyzes the impact of integrated watershed land use plans generated through multi-objective optimization techniques in a Central Himalayan on forest fodder dependency for meeting requirements livestock watershed. Alternate were developed optimizing four objective functions - maximizing farm income, employment and nutritional security, minimizing soil loss individually simultaneously at level. The analysis was carried under two capital availability scenarios (restricted unrestricted). values cultivated utilization index (CLUI), crop diversification (CDI), cropping intensity (CI) estimated each plan. Inferior eliminated by applying Law Dominance rule. Out several optimal generated, best plan selected employing MODSS techniques. Annual production, sustainable animal population changes then computed. Optimal suggested significant number buffaloes cows use. Under restricted scenario, would change from existing surplus to 31.96% plan, while unrestricted be about 29.6%. technique planning balance farmer environmental needs has potential prepare that will reduce current trends increased degradation Himalayas. Watershed development management central middle region therefore need incorporate measures improve productivity, situ moisture conservation develop effective participatory plans. complexity highly heterogeneous landscape requires such various identified micro-watersheds meet location specific social region.
