摘要: BACKGROUND: The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy and side effects gabapentin, amitriptyline, their combination in women with chronic pelvic pain. METHODS: In open-label, prospective, randomized trial, 56 pain were investigated a two-year follow-up at Vienna Medical University Hospital. If intensity assessed by visual analog scale (VAS) 5 or more (0, no pain; 10, maximal pain), despite analgesic therapy using nonopioid drug metamizol together weak opioids, patients receive gabapentin (n = 20), amitriptyline both drugs 16). Doses increased maximum daily doses 3600 mg 150 mg, respectively, until sufficient relief occurrence effects. VAS evaluated before treatment 1, 3, 6, 12 24 months afterwards. RESULTS: All experienced significant during observation period. However, after months, significantly better receiving either alone than monotherapy (gabapentin: 0 7.7 ± 1.5; 6 1.6 0.9; 1.5 1.9 amitriptyline: 7.3 2.2 1.6; months; 3.4 amitriptyline-gabapentin: 7.6 0.8; 1.3 1.7 1.0; 2.3 0.9). Side lower group two other groups, difference reaching statistical significance three (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Gabapentin is female
