The ocean and marine realm

摘要: Australia has a significant ocean domain. It the longest coastline in world at 37,000 km and world's fourth largest offshore Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). At approximately 12,000,000 km2, EEZ is 50 per cent larger area than Australian continental landmass (CSIRO 1998). This stretches from tropical waters to Australia's sub-Antarctic islands Antarctic Territory.
