摘要: Asians from the Indian subcontinent have received greater attention in diabetes studies because of their migration large numbers. The prevalence non-insulin-dependent mellitus (NIDDM) migrant Indians is higher than that population residing and also usually other racial groups host country. However, before drawing any conclusions with reference to high NIDDM Indians, careful comparisons are required more up-to-date information available itself. Recent data India indeed indicate rates either been underestimated past or rising. problem compounded by different diagnostic criteria used for defining diabetes.
