摘要: Hospital tumor registries may permit efficient identification of relatively large numbers patients for clinical and health services research. This study investigates the feasibility cost using hospital registry data identifying cancer with particular characteristics, corresponding to protocol entry criteria four randomly sampled Phase III treatment trials cancer. We screened on 717 diagnosed in 1997 1998 who had been identified abstracted by a academic medical center April, 1999; we records 122 passed screen. For each profile, screen eliminated substantial fraction did not meet relevant criteria. Of from as potential matches, 41% matched profile based detailed review. The effort registry-based method were substantially lower than would have necessary if reviewed without screen, suggesting that can be tool research subjects.
