摘要: Abstract The operational characteristics of a novel poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE) bead material, granular Algoflon®, used for separation and preconcentration metal ions via adsorption on-line generated non-charged complexes, were evaluated in sequential injection (SI) system furnished with an external packed column lab-on-valve (SI-LOV) system. Employed the determination cadmium(II), complexed diethyldithiophosphate (DDPA), detection by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS), its performance was compared to that previously Aldrich PTFE, which had demonstrated PTFE most promising solid-state pretreatments. By comparing two materials, Algoflon® beads exhibited much higher sensitivity (1.6107 μg l−1 versus 0.2956 μg l−1 per integrated absorbance (s)), better retention efficiency (82% 74%) enrichment factor (20.8 17.2), although slightly smaller linear dynamic range (0.05–0.25 μg l−1 0.05–1.00 μg l−1). Moreover, no flow resistance encountered under experimental conditions used. results obtained on three standard reference materials good agreement certified values.
