摘要: Application of slow release fertiliser to small (0.5x1 m) plots within a serpentine annual grassland community led significant increases in above-ground biomass and shift species relative abundances. In fertilised the native forb which usually dominate were almost totally replaced by grasses. years following initial application, heavy mulch formed from previous year's grass growth allowed establishment such as Bromus mollis but significantly reduced establishment. Gopher disturbance second third experiment effectively removed re-establishment species.
