摘要: A discrete-continuous choice model of time allocation to two types discretionary activities is formulated based on the concept random utility maximization. The development takes into account discreteness inherent in daily activity engagement and (ie one type may not be engaged, therefore no allocated it at all, during a day). Without requiring simplifying assumptions other than that least will as doubly-censored Tobit model. This theoretical framework applied study in-home out-of-home while using, explanatory variables, work schedules commute characteristics well residential, household personal attributes. weekly time-use data set from Netherlands used statistical analysis. To for heterogeneity comprising repeated measurements use each respondent, an error component introduced models. non-parametric approach adopted estimation using mass points. Behavioral implications results are discussed. validity procedure correct estimated t-statistics proposed measurement also (A) For covering abstract see IRRD 886400.
