摘要: OBJECTIVE: To evaluate functional capacity, pulmonary function, respiratory musculature and nutritional status among children adolescents with chronic renal insufficiency (CRI) undergoing conservative treatment. METHODS: This study was conducted 30 volunteers, divided into two groups: a group of CRI therapy (CRI Group) without disease (Control Group). The volunteers underwent physical evaluation, spirometry, strength resistance tests on their musculature, evaluation capacity assessment. data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test significance level 5%. RESULTS: Tiffeneau index significantly lower in Group (p= 0.003). In relation to muscle maximum expiratory pressure values 0.010) time greater assessment, variables that differed statistically were: distance walked (p< 0.001), mean arterial final rate 0.001) Borg scale (p= 0.048). Regarding status, all significant lower. CONCLUSIONS: Children treatment may present impaired status.
