摘要: Two distinct climatic seasons in the tropics generate extreme environmental fluctua- tions land-based aquaculture and corresponding challenges for integrated aquaculture. Here we assessed influence of culture variables on productivity Cladophora coelothrix at multiple scales, firstly an operational settlement pond subsequently labora- tory flow-through mesocosm experiments. Classification regression tree (CART) analyses were used to partition key growth. In situ correlated pri- marily with nitrogen concentration, position stocking density, a lesser influ- ence salinity, temperature ratio nitrate-nitrogen (NO3 -N) total ammonium nitro- gen (TAN). We evaluated resilience C. laboratory environments by manipulating nutrients across broader range val- ues derived from year-long survey pond. had greatest growth, followed concentration salinity. Growth rates high, irrespective season, except extremes each example, lowest annual combination high low was also limited ~20% when NO3 -N TAN available simultaneously. The use CART both controlled environment data provided formal dissection relative contribution variable demonstrating year-round potential bioremediation identifying critical combinations management this system.
