Breast Cancer Brain Metastasis—Overview of Disease State, Treatment Options and Future Perspectives

摘要: Breast cancer is the second most common origin of brain metastasis after lung cancer. Brain in breast commonly found patients with advanced course disease and has a poor prognosis because blood-brain barrier thought to be major obstacle delivery many drugs central nervous system. Therefore, local treatments including surgery, stereotactic radiation therapy, whole-brain therapy are currently considered gold standard treatments. Meanwhile, new targeted therapies based on subtype have recently been developed. Some can exceed enter New technology for early detection personalized medicine warranted. In this review, we summarize historical overview treatment focus treatment, latest drug strategies, future perspectives using novel therapeutic agents metastasis, ongoing clinical trials.
