摘要: The medium Aquil and its variations have been successfully used for trace metal studies of marine phytoplankton (diatoms dinoflagellates) over the past three years. Here, recipes, methods preparation chemical composition are presented in detail. To permit complete definition speciation various components as calculated from thermodynamic equilibria, element contamination is controlled formation precipitates adsorbates avoided. It established that suitable physiological experiments with a variety phytoplankters representing all major phyla. Modifications basic recipe design chemically defined media general discussed.
