摘要: PURPOSE: Differences in gross mechanical efficiency between experienced and inexperienced wheelchair users may be brought about by differences propulsion technique. The purpose of this experiment was to study changes technique (defined force application, left-right symmetry, intercycle variability, timing) during a 3-wk practice period group novice able-bodied nonwheelchair users. METHODS: Subjects were randomly divided over an experimental (N = 10) control 10). received (3.wk-1, i.e., 9 trials) on computer-controlled ergometer, whereas the only participated trials 1 9. During all nine trials, variables measured. RESULTS: No significant groups found for variability. push frequency negative power deflection at start phase diminished significantly contrast (P < 0.05). Work per cycle, time, cycle increased. CONCLUSION: had favorable effect some efficiency, which indicate positive improved efficiency. Although muscle activation kinematic segment characteristics not measured present study, they also impact occurred time most application parameters, variability period; however, these change another scale.
