摘要: A series of bimetallic silver–palladium catalysts supported on titania were prepared by wet impregnation and assessed for the direct synthesis hydrogen peroxide, its subsequent side reactions. The addition silver to a palladium catalyst was found significantly decrease peroxide productivity hydrogenation, but crucially increase rate decomposition. decomposition product, which is predominantly hydroxyl radicals, can be used bacterial colonies. interaction between characterized using scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) temperature programmed reduction (TPR). results TPR XPS indicated formation alloy. optimal 1% Ag–4% Pd/TiO 2 able produce approximately 200 ppm H O in 30 min. findings demonstrate that AgPd/TiO are active reactive oxygen species. promising use wastewater treatment as they combine disinfectant properties silver, production This article part discussion meeting issue ‘Providing sustainable catalytic solutions rapidly changing world’.
