摘要: This study evaluated the usefulness of using groups biomarkers as measures exposure and which statistical approach wouldbe most robust for analysing such data. We used both analysis variance (ANOVA) nonmetric cluster associationanalysis (NCAA) to look patterns in biomarker responses populations gray-tailed voles (Microtus canicaudus)in field enclosures exposed azinphos-methyl (Guthion2S) at 0.0, 1.55 4.67 kg active ingredient(AI)ha-1 (four per treatment level). Biomarkers measured were hematocrit, total leukocyte counts, differentiation, plasma lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), isocitratedehydrogenase, creatine phosphokinase (CPK) activities, creatinine blood urea nitrogenconcentrations. Brain cholinesterase (AChE) activity was a subset animals. The ANOVAwas able distinguish differences between only brain AChE. NCAA confirmedthe ANOVA that AChE differed significantly among groups. However,NCAA also identified LDH CPK activity, neutrophil lymphocyte numbers importantdiscriminants pesticide treatment. Additionally, changes cell parameters due spatialgradients layered over effects pesticide.
