Analysis of cognitive dysfunction in patients with low-grade glioma

摘要: All living adults with histopatologically proven diagnosis of low-grade glioma in a Swedish county were identified help the Regional Cancer Register, half them (n = 24) participated neuropsychological evaluation. A considerable variation was found cognitive function within this group patients, ranging from good ability to severe disturbance. Different patterns dysfunction emerged resulting three subgroups; patients severe, mild, and minimal selective dysfunction. The disturbance had global covering most assessed domains. Slow information-processing speed obvious subgroups both mild Cognitive problems present best performing seemed related tumor localization. whole sample histopathological tumor, as well educational level patients. nonworking significantly poorer performance than working
